Inject-Styrene is committed to respecting the privacy of its customers, partners, network contractors and other visitors to its Website (” Users” or ” you” ), and to protecting their Personal Information, as defined below.
The purpose of this privacy policy (” Policy “) is to provide information about the Personal Information we collect and process in connection with your use of the Website or your interactions with us. You’ll also find the various ways to contact us to obtain more information, if required.
The Website is administered from Quebec, Canada. This Policy takes into account the requirements of the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector in force in Québec, as well as any other legislation to which Inject-Styrene may be subject in the course of its activities (collectively ” Act(s )”). The Personal Information you provide to Inject-Styrene will not be used for any purpose other than as permitted by applicable law and in accordance with this Policy.
By using or providing your Personal Information to the Website, you consent to its collection, use, disclosure and retention in accordance with the terms hereof.
We recommend that you read this Policy carefully. If you do not agree, please do not disclose any Personal Information to us and stop using the Website. This Policy applies to Personal Information of Users transmitted to Inject-Styrene via the Website or by any other written or oral means, including as part of an application for membership in the Inject-Styrene Network (” Network “) when you are an insulation contractor.
Personal Information is collected during your use of the Website, in the course of our business relations, in particular when you use our services, when you subscribe to our publications and when you communicate with us.
This Policy does not apply to the Personal Information of employees, consultants or other individuals associated with Inject-Styrene, nor to any information that does not constitute Personal Information, such as information of an exclusively commercial nature.
What is Personal Information?
Personal information is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, directly or indirectly, by reference to one or more factors specific to his or her physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural or social identity. This includes, but is not limited to, name, telephone number, postal or e-mail address, login ID, location data, banking or credit card information, IP address, etc. (collectively ” Personal Information “).
Collection of Personal Information
We collect Personal Information with your consent or as permitted or required by applicable law. Your consent may be express or implied, depending on the circumstances and applicable law. When you provide us with Personal Information about another person, whether as a Network member, customer, partner or otherwise, you are responsible for that information and we assume that you have obtained that person’s valid consent for us to collect, use and disclose that Personal Information in accordance with this Policy.
Inject-Styrene services are not intended for minors. Therefore, we do not knowingly collect or process Personal Information about them. By using the Website, you represent and warrant that you have reached the legal age of majority in your place of residence or that you are authorized to use the Website by the holder of parental authority over you. In the event that we become aware of the collection of Personal Information from minors without such authorization, we will take appropriate steps to delete such Personal Information from our servers.
Inject-Styrene will limit the collection of Personal Information to that which is necessary for the purposes for which it is collected. We will also ensure that the Personal Information we hold is accurate, complete and up-to-date.

We collect the Personal Information that you provide to us directly on a voluntary basis, whether by using our services, the Website, or in the course of our business dealings. This includes, as appropriate:

- Through the various forms available on the website, for example in the sections “Find your local contractor”, “Request an estimate”, “Become a member”, “File a complaint” and “Questions and comments”.
Processing your Personal Information
The Personal Information collected serves various contractual, administrative, commercial or legal purposes. More specifically, Inject-Styrene uses your Personal Information for the following purposes:
Referral to Network member contractors
We collect Personal Information so that our potential customers can identify on the Website contractors who are members of the Network and who are located in their geographical area and contact them directly.
Personal Information is then used in the manner necessary for the specific evaluation of the project and for the conclusion and execution by the contractor, where applicable, of an agreement for the provision of insulation services.
Subcontracting activities
In the course of its activities, Inject-Styrene also acts in certain cases as a subcontractor of Personal Information on behalf of its members, notably for quality control, audit and after-sales service purposes. This may include information about our members’ customers or partners. In such an eventuality, it is the members who have control over your Personal Information and who determine, in particular, the nature of the information collected, the purposes for which it is used, the means of processing, the retention period, etc. Inject-Styrene then processes the Personal Information entrusted to it in the course of providing its services, exclusively in accordance with this Policy.
Communication with Users
The Personal Information you provide directly to us is also used to process requests received when you contact us, either orally or in writing. It may be a request for information, an estimate, a membership application, a comment, a complaint, and so on. Personal Information then includes the User’s message and any subsequent communications. We may also use your Personal Information to communicate with you, including to inform you of changes to our Terms of Use or this Policy, in connection with the provision of our services or for other administrative purposes.
Depending on the nature and progress of the initial contact, your Personal Information may also be used for other purposes, including the preparation of a service offer or referral to one of our members.

Inject-Styrene uses Personal Information that is necessary for the administration of the Website, in particular in order to (i) to enable you to use the Website and the services offered therein; (ii) maintain, update and improve the Website; and (iii) provide you with technical support.

To whom do we communicate your Personal Information?
Inject-Styrene will only share your Personal Information if you request it, on the basis of your consent, or if disclosure is otherwise required or permitted by law. Inject-Styrene will not sell your Personal Information to third parties.
In particular, we share personal information on network members with our partner responsible for training and opening supply accounts. Some customer Personal Information is also shared with organizations in charge of administering sustainable economy programs, including materials recycling. We may also share your Personal Information with other suppliers, partners, employees or other third parties as necessary to provide our services, manage the Website or exercise our legal rights, and with marketing agencies for marketing purposes, as permitted by law.
Our service providers and partners are chosen for their expertise and reliability. They act on our behalf and according to our instructions. We authorize these service providers to use your Personal Information only to the extent necessary to conduct our business or to comply with legal requirements. We take reasonable steps to ensure that any third party service provider provides a safe and adequate environment and security measures consistent with those required by Applicable Laws, so that your Personal Information is protected at all times.

How long will Personal Information be kept?

The Personal Information we collect is stored on secure servers with restricted access, based in Quebec and the United States, either on our own servers or on those of third-party service providers.

The Website keeps Personal Information compiled in a secure environment and various measures to prevent its unauthorized disclosure, use, alteration or destruction have been put in place. In particular, the Website uses SSL protocol for the transmission of your Information, anti-virus software,firewalls and computer backup procedures. Inject-Styrene has also taken other measures to ensure the security of Personal Information, in addition to those mentioned elsewhere in this Policy, which include, among others (i) limited access to Personal Information by personnel requiring access to perform their duties (customer service, administration, controller, etc.), who are bound by confidentiality in the performance of their duties; (ii) physical protection of Inject-Styrene’s premises; (iii) regular review of our practices and this Policy, etc.
Inject-Styrene undertakes to take all reasonable steps to ensure the confidentiality and security of Personal Information in accordance with reasonable technological standards in its field of activity.

For your convenience, the Website may include hyperlinks to external websites operated by third parties, for example the Rénoclimat Participant’s Guide or platforms on which we are present such as YouTube, Facebook and Linkedin. By clicking on these hyperlinks, you will be leaving the Web Site for the sites of these third parties, which may have different privacy policies and practices. This Policy is no longer applicable once you leave our Website. Please consult the privacy policies of these other sites to which you are redirected before providing any Personal Information. We are not responsible for, and accept no liability in respect of, the Personal Information collection, use and disclosure practices of other entities which you may access through our Website.
Limitation of liability
You declare that you understand and acknowledge that no computer system offers absolute security and that the protection of Personal Information cannot be fully guaranteed on the public network that is the Internet.
